Walking In God’s Light

The Bible says: “God is light and in Him is no darkness at all” so God is calling for all people of every nation to come into His Light, through the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ His Only-Begotten Son in order to have perfect fellowship with Him, and to get on a course which He has included in His Word in a process described in the Holy Bible as: “Walking In God’s Light”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Psalms 36:1 – 12 (KJV)

Psa 36:1  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

Psa 36:2  For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

Psa 36:3  The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.

Psa 36:4  He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

Psa 36:5  Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Psa 36:6  Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

Psa 36:7  How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

Psa 36:8  They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

Psa 36:9  For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

Psa 36:10  O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

Psa 36:11  Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

Psa 36:12  There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

New Testament Scripture Reading:  Hebrews 11: 17 – 19 (KJV)

Php 4:10  But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity.

Php 4:11  Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:

Php 4:12  I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Php 4:13  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Php 4:14  Nevertheless you have done well that you shared in my distress.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) The Psalmist writes for us the difference between the actions of the lost and their way of thinking about matters of this life versus having an abiding, growing trust relationship with The Almighty which produces Faith, Hope, and Love in the hearts of the believers in God’s provision of His Son and His Word.

2)The Apostle Paul models for the world what this kind of unshakable faith and love looks like in motion as he writes the church at Philippi to admonish them to continue trusting Jesus no matter what the level of opposition is from trials, trouble, and the fallen establishments of humanity.

3)Without Jesus no one can do anything to become right in the sight of the righteous God, Who is the Father of Jesus Christ, but through Jesus Christ we who believe in Him can do ALL THINGS!
