New Testament Scripture Reading: 1 Peter 1:2 – 5  (NASB)
1 Pet 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1 Pet 1:4  to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
1 Pet 1:5  who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Transforming Power Statements:

#1) Because of the sacrificial death of Jesus the Son of the Most High God, the Father is called in this text: “Blessed” This indicates His utter satisfaction with the complete sacrifice of the Christ on our behalf.

#2) All who are “Born Again” have been done so by God who has raised us up to a newness of life and is teaching us applications of the effects of the resurrection of His Son Jesus the Christ, so that we can learn to be satisfied in Jesus just as His Father is.

#3) The Messiah Jesus, will effect every one who has been born in the flesh, either as their Savior, or as their Judge. Those who receive Him as LORD shall find that there are continuing effects of the resurrection that are precious jewels to behold the more we deepen our relationship with Him.
