Perfecting Under Pressure, Part 2

Due to the fact that Christians are called to a life of sanctification they will automatically go through a variety of pressures in day today life. Listen as Pastor Landis sheds some light on what we need from God to allow His Holy Spirit produce in us the perfection to which we have been called. Just as it is pressure that converts lumps of coal into precious diamonds.

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Psalms 37:18-28  (NASB)
(Psa 37:18 NASB) The LORD knows the days of the blameless; And their inheritance will be forever.(Psa 37:19 NASB) They will not be ashamed in the time of evil; And in the days of famine they will have abundance.

(Psa 37:20 NASB) But the wicked will perish; And the enemies of the LORD will be like the glory of the pastures, They vanish– like smoke they vanish away.

(Psa 37:21 NASB) The wicked borrows and does not pay back, But the righteous is gracious and gives.

(Psa 37:22 NASB) For those blessed by Him will inherit the land; But those cursed by Him will be cut off.

(Psa 37:23 NASB) The steps of a man are established by the LORD; And He delights in his way.

(Psa 37:24 NASB) When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong; Because the LORD is the One who holds his hand.

(Psa 37:25 NASB) I have been young, and now I am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Or his descendants begging bread.

(Psa 37:26 NASB) All day long he is gracious and lends; And his descendants are a blessing.

(Psa 37:27 NASB) Depart from evil, and do good, So you will abide forever.

(Psa 37:28 NASB) For the LORD loves justice, And does not forsake His godly ones; They are preserved forever; But the descendants of the wicked will be cut off.

(Rev 2:10 NASB) ‘Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

(Rev 2:11 NASB) ‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.’
