O Magnify The LORD

As we increase in our understanding of the things of God & our perception of His splendor & majesty develops, we find that we begin to see the LORD in a far more greater way than before day by day. Listen to this teaching as Pastor: Landis helps us to understand ways we can understand more deeply what it means to shout: “O Magnify the LORD!”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Psalms 96:1-8  (KJV)
(Psa 96:1 KJV) O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.

(Psa 96:2 KJV) Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; show forth his salvation from day to day.

(Psa 96:3 KJV) Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

(Psa 96:4 KJV) For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

(Psa 96:5 KJV) For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

(Psa 96:6 KJV) Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

(Psa 96:7 KJV) Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

(Psa 96:8 KJV) Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Hebrews 2:1-9  (NASB)
(Heb 2:1 NASB) For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.

(Heb 2:2 NASB) For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense,

(Heb 2:3 NASB) how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard,

(Heb 2:4 NASB) God also bearing witness with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will.

(Heb 2:5 NASB) For He did not subject to angels the world to come, concerning which we are speaking.

(Heb 2:6 NASB) But one has testified somewhere, saying, “WHAT IS MAN, THAT THOU REMEMBEREST HIM? OR THE SON OF MAN, THAT THOU ART CONCERNED ABOUT HIM?

(Heb 2:7 NASB) “THOU HAST MADE HIM FOR A LITTLE WHILE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS; THOU HAST CROWNED HIM WITH GLORY AND HONOR, AND HAST APPOINTED HIM OVER THE WORKS OF THY HANDS;

(Heb 2:8 NASB) THOU HAST PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET.” For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him.

(Heb 2:9 NASB) But we do see Him who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.
