Mystery Of The History Of Grace

The Bible reveals that in all of time, God has displayed His Grace to mankind. From the very first case of sin in the garden of Eden, God’s love and grace were available. This grace has continued all the way up until this very second, and is available to all who have faith in God’s Provision of Jesus His Only Begotten Son, Who alone is at the very foundation of what I call: ” Mystery Of The History Of Grace”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Malachi 3:6 – 7 (KJV)

 Mal 3:6  For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Mal 3:7  Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

New Testament Scripture Reading:  Acts 17:26 – 34 (KJV)

Act 17:26  And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

Act 17:27  That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

Act 17:28  For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Act 17:29  Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.

Act 17:30  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Act 17:31  Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Act 17:32  And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.

Act 17:33  So Paul departed from among them.

Act 17:34  Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) One of the most obvious observations from even a cursory examination of the Old Testament is that even the Covenant people, the Jews of the seed of Abraham, were never able to fully observe God’s Law “perfectly” but needed to rely upon the provision of the “sacrificial system” in order to satisfy God’s requirements of His Holy Law, which all was a temporary provision of His Grace, to protect and keep them until His Son (The Christ) would be manifested to provide perfect satisfaction to God (i.e. “propitiation”) which was accomplished by Jesus alone!

2) This fact is evident throughout the entire Old Testament, and Malachi, reveals that it was only because of God’s mercy that the sons of Jacob were not consumed, indicating that their relationship with God was purely by His Grace!

3) God has now raised the bar for all mankind, by having predicted perfectly accurately the perfect works of Jesus His Only Begotten Son, Who ALONE, provided flawless perfection to satisfy God on behalf of not only Israel, but also ALL who trust in HIM alone and believe that God has raised HIM from the dead as a testimony to the fact that death has been defeated!
