Mysteries Of The Church Age

print
Today’s message is the first in a series concerning the revelation that God had a plan to provide His Salvation to all people who would receive it by faith, which included His plan to do so through Israel, the covenant people, whom He also miraculously produced through intervention into the life of a childless couple from Ur of the Chaldeans, known as Abraham and Sarah, for the purpose of delivering Jesus His Seed to ultimately deal with the curse of sin and death, through the sacrifice of Himself, in order to bring into reality the things that were concealed in the Bible previously, now known and called ” Mysteries Of The Church Age” which Jesus described to His disciples with the parables of the kingdom.

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Isaiah 54:1 – 5 (KJV)

Isa 54:1  Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.

Isa 54:2  Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;

Isa 54:3  For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

Isa 54:4  Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

Isa 54:5  For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. (See Isaiah 60:1 – 5)

New Testament Scripture Reading:  Matthew 13:10 -13 (KJV)

Mat 13:10  And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

Mat 13:11  He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Mat 13:12  For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Mat 13:13  Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Transforming Power Facts:

1) Isaiah prophesied that there would be tremendous growth of believers being saved by God’s grace, which would include Gentiles, so much that the tent (which is a temporary dwelling) would need to be expanded even more and more to accommodate this massive influx coming into right standing with the Almighty, which is one of the many Old Testament passages that has veiled within it the mystery period known as the “Church Age”, which Jesus’ parables of the Kingdom addresses with more clarity.

2) Jesus reason for speaking to them in parables was to reveal truth to the believers and to conceal truth from unbelievers, and to display the character of this mystery period we call the Church Age, in which the Gentiles and believing Jews would unite into one body in Christ Jesus.

3) Today if you can hear His voice do not harden your heart and reject His message of free salvation by grace alone, but rather it is our prayer that you accept and receive the grace of God by faith in Jesus His Only Begotten Son, and that you make the declaration that you are a child of the most High!
