Gifted to Conquer: Learning to defeat the fall by faith in God’s promises

As it is stated in Romans 11:29: “The gifts & the calling of God are irrevocable” For this we can all surely be glad! In this lesson, Pastor Landis reminds us that we have been blessed with an over-powering gift by the grace of God that leads us to the defeat of the things of humanity marred by the fall of man through the blessing of the indwelling Holy Spirit in accordance with the Scriptures. Listen & learn some of the dynamics of this mystical relationship designed by God & made available to all men by grace & the finished work of the LORD Jesus Christ our Savior.

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Proverbs 15:32-16:6  (NASB)
(Prov 15:32 NASB) He who neglects discipline despises himself, But he who listens to reproof acquires understanding.

(Prov 15:33 NASB) The fear of the LORD is the instruction for wisdom, And before honor comes humility.

(Prov 16:1 NASB) The plans of the heart belong to man, But the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.

(Prov 16:2 NASB) All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, But the LORD weighs the motives.

(Prov 16:3 NASB) Commit your works to the LORD, And your plans will be established.

(Prov 16:4 NASB) The LORD has made everything for its own purpose, Even the wicked for the day of evil.

(Prov 16:5 NASB) Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; Assuredly, he will not be unpunished.

(Prov 16:6 NASB) By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for, And by the fear of the LORD one keeps away from evil.

(Prov 16:7 NASB) When a man’s ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Ephesians 2:1-10  (NASB)

(Eph 2:1 NASB) And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,

(Eph 2:2 NASB) in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

(Eph 2:3 NASB) Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

(Eph 2:4 NASB) But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

(Eph 2:5 NASB) even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

(Eph 2:6 NASB) and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus,

(Eph 2:7 NASB) in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

(Eph 2:8 NASB) For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

(Eph 2:9 NASB) not as a result of works, that no one should boast.

(Eph 2:10 NASB) For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
