Wars Without Wars Within

Last lesson was called: “Stay The Course” from our distinguished Associate Minister Willie Thomas,  and we discovered that the enemies of God and His Word are always setting up obstacles against the course of the believer to thwart the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, Who is continually warring against the forces of evil that continue to assault the mind and intentions of the believer in Jesus Christ. Today’s message shall prepare us for the reaction to this evil practice as we learn to deal with “Wars Without , Wars within”  which are characteristics of the routine days of life for the true believer in Jesus Christ, God’s Only Begotten And Risen Son!

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Psalms 119: 121 – 128 (KJV)

Psa 119:121  AIN. I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.

Psa 119:122  Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.

Psa 119:123  Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.

Psa 119:124  Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.

Psa 119:125  I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

Psa 119:126  It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.

Psa 119:127  Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

Psa 119:128  Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

New Testament Scripture Reading: 1 Timothy 4:1 – 6 (KJV)

1Ti 4:1  Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

1Ti 4:2  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

1Ti 4:3  Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

1Ti 4:4  For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

1Ti 4:5  For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

1Ti 4:6  If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
