Walking The Walk Of Faith

From the beginning of time, God has provided everything that we need, which by itself, should be proof enough to convince us all that He loves us! Nevertheless, because Adam sinned against God, this selfish act of unbelief, has created a barrier between God and man which can only be removed by the presence of Faith! Today’s message will help us to grow in this essential component as we consider what the Bible says about “Walking The Walk Of Faith”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Psalms 1:1 – 6 KJV

Psa 1:1  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Psa 1:2  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Psa 1:3  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Psa 1:4  The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Psa 1:5  Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Psa 1:6  For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Colossians 4:1 – 6 KJV

Col 4:1  Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.

Col 4:2  Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

Col 4:3  Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

Col 4:4  That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

Col 4:5  Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

Col 4:6  Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Main Points To Emphasize:

1) Walking “with” God is a blessing! (Not walking without God; Against God) Not without faith in God, Who has loved us by providing His Word and His Son, Jesus, The LIVING WORD, the only Savior!

2) There have always been people who choose not to believe God, and do not embrace a cose relationship with Him, but choose to live without Him.

3) God commended His Love toward us by giving His Only Begotten Son (JESUS) so that whosoever, believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life by His Grace Alone, and be filled with The Holy Spirit, Who will teach all who believe the Gospel to walk by faith!
