This message reveals a summary of the entire essence of the Old Testament which reveals how from the days of Adam, the father of all men, there has been a constant departure by mankind against the love of God which come to a climax, when Jesus God’s Only Begotten Son was crucified by mere men; but was still victorious over both the fallen human and demonic disasters which were brought against HIM!
The New Testament reveals that all who come to believe in The Messiah, Jesus The Christ, are granted the authority to be able to now be “Walking In Resurrection Power”
Old Testament Scripture Reading: Hosea 3:4 – 5 (KJV)
Hos 3:4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
Hos 3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
New Testament Scripture Colossians 3:1 – 5 (KJV)
Col 3:1 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.
Col 3:3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Col 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
Col 3:5 Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry
Transforming Power Facts:
1) After the children of Israel had little regard for the blessed position granted to them by God, their maker, He spoke to them through the Prophets about their unfaithfulness to Him, while at the same time giving them the promises that everything He had said about blessing them as a nation is still true, and that all these promises shall come to pass in due time; but, since they had chosen death in the likeness of Adam, God would raise them to a newness of life in the latter days.
2) The New Testament reveals the secrets of how God was using Israel to deliver Jesus Christ to not only redeem Israel, but also the entire Gentile world as well, who have all equally sinned against Him as illustrated by the severe treatment perpetrated against Jesus Himself, which is symbolic of what the entire world has felt about being faithful to God, Who has never ceased to love them, even from eternity!
3) Paul therefore, teaches us through this Colossian letter that we are to live inside of the crucified Christ as being dead to the world and the flesh, and power over the devil; and walk as resurrected from the dead, now being instruments of the realities of the “Resurrection Power ” proven by Jesus Christ, Who personally suffered for all who believe in Him, in order to give all believers the victory of “Walking In Resurrection Power”!
