Old Testament Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 10:7 – 12 (KJV)
Jer 10:7 Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
Jer 10:8 But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
Jer 10:9 Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men.
Jer 10:10 But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
Jer 10:11 Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
Jer 10:12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
New Testament Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 10:1 – 5 (KJV)
2Co 10:1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
2Co 10:2 But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Transforming Power Statements:
1) Every since the battle of Cain and Able there has been a spiritual / cultural war in progress within the souls of every human being to select to stand for the things that God has established or to remain against God’s way; which I believe is also the reason behind all other wars having been fought in some way throughout the history of mankind, even up till this very day.
2) In the days of Jeremiah there was rebellion against God not only by the covenant people, but also of the nations ( Gentiles) that all lusted after the greatest material things of the world, with no regard for the True King, the God of Israel Who made the heavens and the earth and even the “Covenant People” because of their disregard of the properties of God’s Word were under the chastisement of God as well.
3) The Apostle Paul has given instruction to the Church to know that this ongoing battle we are in is truly of a spiritual nature and that we are to take it up in our minds to secure the victory won by Jesus in our way of thinking about every matter we are facing so that we live in victory and not defeat!
