The World When Jesus Reigns

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Psalms 2:1 – 12 (KJV)

Psa 2:1  Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

Psa 2:2  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

Psa 2:3  Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

Psa 2:4  He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

Psa 2:5  Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

Psa 2:6  Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

Psa 2:7  I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Psa 2:8  Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Psa 2:9  Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

Psa 2:10  Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

Psa 2:11  Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Psa 2:12  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

New Testament Scripture Reading: 2Thessalonians 2:1 – 12 (KJV)

2Th 2:1  Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2Th 2:2  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

2Th 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

2Th 2:4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

2Th 2:5  Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

2Th 2:6  And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

2Th 2:7  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

2Th 2:8  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

2Th 2:9  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

2Th 2:10  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

2Th 2:11  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

2Th 2:12  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) The clear plan of God the Father has been clearly stated in Psalms 2, and the dilemma of all the kingdoms of mankind and their total impotence to prevail over the world, both corporately , and individually shall give way to God’s plan to seat His Own Son upon His Holy Hill of Zion, as Jesus the Christ shall rule and reign while unbelieving mankind hustles for their own way without Christ Jesus, thus provoking the unmitigated wrath of an angry God!

2) Right now in world events, it is plain to see that the exact fulfillment of the written word of God, the Holy Bible, is coming to pass with flawless precision just as it has been predicted by the Apostles and writers of the New Testament so that people who are born from above by the Holy Spirit of God are able to see clearly the accuracy of the word of God in everyday current events which was promised by Jesus Himself to the ones who believe in Him.

3) By God’s grace people have been allowed to embrace the provisions of God, Who so loved the world that He gave His Only-begotten Son to pay the offering of the death of His own soul to redeem everyone who believes in Jesus, Who alone is the satisfaction required by God His Father, to cover completely every sin of all who trust in Him alone to be their personal Savior, this transaction conducted by God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit will define the character of the world when Jesus Reigns and every other kingdom of mankind will bow their knees in submission to the King of kings!
