The Supremacy Of Jesus Christ

print

The reality that God is “For Us” is the greatest ever in the Holy Bible! Let us examine another beautiful facet of Jesus’ position as the Perfect representative of man, while also being the only perfect representative of God Himself as well, for the primary purpose of demonstrating the HIGHEST love of all for both God and us; as we come to better understand “The Supremacy Of Jesus Christ”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Isaiah 1:16 -20 (KJV)

Isa 1:16  Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

Isa 1:17  Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Isa 1:18  Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Isa 1:19  If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

Isa 1:20  But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Colossians 1:12 – 20 (KJV)

Col 1:12  Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Col 1:13  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Col 1:14  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

The Preeminence of Christ

Col 1:15  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Col 1:16  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Col 1:17  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Col 1:18  And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Col 1:19  For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Col 1:20  And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) Even though God separated Israel to be a people for His Own possession, the stain of sin within them was so deep, that much of the Bible has been devoted to corrective passages calling Israel away from the ways of the world, and back to God’s ways (Which is a call to repentance)

2) The Biblical view of “mankind” tells the true story of the fall of man and how it has always been supplemented by God’s love, mercy and grace which were implemented in the Spirit in eternity past within the God-head, and in time immediately after the fall of Adam (Genesis 3:21); which culminated at the cross of Jesus Christ on Calvary!

3) Jesus Christ God’s Only Begotten Son, is the highest expression of God’s love and grace toward all who voluntarily learn to live a life of repentance, discipleship and faith in Jesus Christ, Who is SUPREME above all things!
