The Outcome Of Christmas

In our previous message “Being Willfully Thankful” we discovered that we have more to be thankful about than we often realize! Today’s message will help us realize what God was doing when He sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus to manifest His love for mankind, which is ” The Outcome Of Christmas”

Old Testament Scripture Reading Psalms 98:1 – 4 (KJV)

Psa 98:1  A Psalm. O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

Psa 98:2  The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

Psa 98:3  He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Psa 98:4  Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Hebrews 12:1 – 3 (KJV)

Heb 12:1  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Heb 12:2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Heb 12:3  For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) The Bible is the greatest testimony of God’s righteousness and faithfulness, because it tells the story of how the world went from a state of perfection into a ball of confusion, filled with sin and the forces of darkness, and how God maintained His great love by sending Jesus Christ The Only Savior for all to behold!

2) The Psalmist declared the intention and outcome of God’s love and His victory over all His enemies for which all people should believe, rejoice over, and to be saved!

3) The writer to the Hebrews also admonishes the believer to continue to behold Jesus, Who persevered through everything that God required for us who believe to be saved; and single-handedly defeated all of the enemies of God; as we can also if we continue to walk by faith and not by sight!
