Old Testament Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 23:23 – 31 (KJV)
Jer 23:23 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?
Jer 23:24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.
Jer 23:25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.
Jer 23:26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;
Jer 23:27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.
Jer 23:28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.
Jer 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
Jer 23:30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

New Testament Scripture Reading: 2Peter 3:1 – 7 (KJV)
2Pe 3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2Pe 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Pe 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
2Pe 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Transforming Power Facts:
1) In the days of Jeremiah, the majority of “covenant people” had been living contrary to the Word of God to the point that they rebelled against the objective voice of God’s prophets in exchange for what their own evil hearts desired, which was what the so-called “modern prophets” of that day were preaching against God’s true Word, because it was “popular”; but it was also contrary to the truth: “God’s Eternal objective voice of the Bible”
2) Having constant and accurate, dependable teaching of the Bible from day to day, nurtures the true believers to withstand the trendy false teachings of the so-called “modern-prophets” of the times, and to be able to see the realities of the eternal objective voice of the Bible, as it unfolds right before their eyes with an astonishing accuracy that builds a supernatural faith within them which sanctifies them by the power of the Spirit of the living God!
3) The New Testament writers also have warned the present Church that there will be scoffers, mockers and even outright denial of the truthfulness of the Bible, even under the guise of “science” that militate against the sacred Scriptures which shall continue to provide to every true believer “The Eternal Objective Voice Of The Bible” as the complete and only required information for time and even eternity!!
