Teaming Up With Christ

Greetings of Love in Christ Jesus to All!

As we continue our discoveries in Paul’s epistle to the Romans, we have been examining how the Church, who are God’s “called out spiritual family” on the Earth are to interact with not only the rebellious ones of all the world, but even more importantly perhaps, the Jews through whom God had chosen to deliver all of His saving information, such as the Patriarchal succession, the covenants, the Law, the Prophets, and especially even the Messiah! Listen in as we continue with our Pastor Teacher, Landis Fisher in a lesson from the tenth chapter he has titled: “Teaming Up With Christ”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Isaiah 53:1 – 6  (KJV)

Isa 53:1  Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
Isa 53:2  For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
Isa 53:3  He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Isa 53:4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isa 53:6  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Romans 10:16 – 21  (KJV)

Rom 10:16  But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Rom 10:17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Rom 10:18  But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
Rom 10:19  But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
Rom 10:20  But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
Rom 10:21  But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) God’s message of salvation has always been “gospel”; but even within the covenant people, (the Patriarchs and Jews) not all who heard it believed it in the way God had stated it through the Prophets, and therefore, some were not saved.

2) Since the “Church Age” God has chosen to use His Church to spread His Gospel to the ends of the Earth, therefore we are called to “Team Up With Christ” by way of preaching His Word under the power of the Holy Spirit.

3) There is no higher aspiration than to “Team Up With Christ” in sharing the only life-saving message for all of mankind, this manifests God’s love; to the Jews and the Gentiles!
