Sunday One Day

As we enter into the new year, 2016 A.D. Our Pastor Teacher Landis Fisher has prepared a special message of encouragement to get us started into this special time in Spiritual History with a topical message that he has titled: “Sunday One Day”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Isaiah 60:1 – 5  (KJV)

Isa 60:1  Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Isa 60:2  For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
Isa 60:3  And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
Isa 60:4  Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
Isa 60:5  Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Revelation 21:1 – 8  (KJV)

Rev 21:1  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Rev 21:4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:5  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Rev 21:6  And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Rev 21:7  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Rev 21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) As we enter into 2016 A.D. let us contemplate the future presented in God’s Holy Word, which is defined as one final day in the which God has done away with the threat of sin as well as the perpetrators of it once and for all, realizing that there is only a single day necessary which will be governed by the light of Christ and God and, therefore, no more need for the Sun nor the Moon!

2) In 2016 A.D. let us learn and maintain the perception that we MUST choose to FIGHT the good fight of faith, which is a way of joining Jesus by having Him involved with us in each and every spiritual choice, regardless of the lightness or severity, in every decision, struggle, loss or victory, or while under demonic attack, or any and every other thing that is dealt to us in this life; so that we may experience the bliss of Salvation to the ones whose minds are stayed on Him.

3) In this New Year pray about how you might Dedicate yourself to the same purposes that God has for His creation being determined to be involved in as much indulgence in His Word as possible so that you can obtain as much spiritual power as you possibly can and therefore have the most possible victory so that when we reach that place where every day is Sunday, we will have greater capacity to serve God and until then experience the most peace possible even in the midst of this troubled world. Jesus is truly the Prince of Peace!
