Today’s message will explain how believers of the Gospel can best understand and benefit from the lives of Old Testament saints, as written in the Bible for our admonition, as we come to better understand how God’s amazing grace has always been provided to His people, in order to express His Love for mankind, and to fulfill His plan of free salvation for “ALL who Believe the Gospel”  through His Only Begotten Son JESUS THE CHRIST, Who teaches the believer “Strategies In The Armor Of Grace”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Ecclesiastes 12:11 – 14 (KJV)

Ecc 12:11  The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

Ecc 12:12  And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

Ecc 12:13  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Ecc 12:14  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

New Testament Scripture Ephesians 6:10 – 18 (KJV)

Eph 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Eph 6:11  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Eph 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Eph 6:13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Eph 6:14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Eph 6:15  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Eph 6:16  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Eph 6:17  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Eph 6:18  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Transforming Power Facts:

1) When we take a look at the OT we can see many strong, victorious, well armored people, such as Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Joseph, Joshua, Caleb, Ruth, Naomi, Daniel and his friends, Ezra, to name a few; we see others, however, who were more apt to temptation, such as Jonah, Gideon, Sampson, Rahab, Abigail, along with a host of un-named people who crossed paths with the Children Of Israel in their dealings, as God prospered them through His course and plan, as He covers them all with His Grace, so that Jesus His Only-Begotten Son could be delivered from Abraham, through their lineage to be the ONLY SAVIOR, LORD, and KING Of kings!

2) King Solomon (The Preacher) has given us great wisdom to assess how we should view all the matters of this life in his summary of seeing life from the “under the sun” perspective, which he concluded that “all is vanity, striving after the wind”;  so he instructs us all to “Fear God and keep His Commandments” which is the “Whole duty of man” ; this means that we must learn to armor ourselves with the facts we learn in Holy Scripture, from the many examples given to us by God The Holy Spirit, through the Word!

3) The Apostle Paul gives us a concurrent New Testament prescription that we must learn to take unto us the “Whole Armor Of God” that we may be able to stand against the evil day, through applying the facts about God, as stated in the Bible, to provide “Strategies In The Armor Of Grace” that shall supply  the victories that have been secured by Jesus and given to all who believe in Him, through the Holy Spirit!
