Old Testament Scripture Reading: Job 13:6 – 18  (NASB)
Job 13:6  “Please hear my argument, And listen to the contentions of my lips.
Job 13:7  “Will you speak what is unjust for God, And speak what is deceitful for Him?
Job 13:8  “Will you show partiality for Him? Will you contend for God?
Job 13:9  “Will it be well when He examines you? Or will you deceive Him as one deceives a man?
Job 13:10  “He will surely reprove you, If you secretly show partiality.
Job 13:11  “Will not His majesty terrify you, And the dread of Him fall on you?
Job 13:12  “Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes, Your defenses are defenses of clay.
Job 13:13  “Be silent before me so that I may speak; Then let come on me what may.
Job 13:14  “Why should I take my flesh in my teeth, And put my life in my hands?
Job 13:15  “Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him.
Job 13:16  “This also will be my salvation, For a godless man may not come before His presence.
Job 13:17  Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
Job 13:18  Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.
New Testament Scripture Reading: 2 Peter 1:1 – 10  (NASB)
2 Pet 1:1  Simon Peter, a bond-servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:
2 Pet 1:2  Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord;
2 Pet 1:3  seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
2 Pet 1:4  For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.
2 Pet 1:5  Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge;
2 Pet 1:6  and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness;
2 Pet 1:7  and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.
2 Pet 1:8  For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Pet 1:9  For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins.
2 Pet 1:10  Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble;
Transforming Power Statements:

#1) (REALIZE) The “Properties of true salvation” are set by God in every child of His Kingdom, and therefore must be realized and accepted on the basis of His Word alone in order to yield the determination / {or attitude} that drives the spiritual maturity of the believer.
(Colossians 3:16; Romans 3:3; Proverbs 3:5; Job 13:15 – 18; Psalms 23:1)

#2) (REHEARSE) Set your mind on progress applying again & again each precept acquired through your study and application of God’s Word.

#3) (Re-evaluate & REGENERATE) Conduct routine self examination & confession sessions in communion with Christ & ourselves, and share the good news no matter what as we go along.
