This is a practical lesson to teach us how to evaluate everything in accordance with God’s Word so that we can apply the teaching to every matter in our lives. In this we are going to learn to evaluate all messages from the world, the flesh and the devil as we learn to make “Spiritual Analysis By The Word And The Spirit”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Psalms 19:7 – 14 (KJV)

Psa 19:7  The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Psa 19:8  The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Psa 19:9  The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

Psa 19:10  More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

Psa 19:11  Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Psa 19:12  Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

Psa 19:13  Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

Psa 19:14  Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Matthew 11:25 – 30 (KJV)

Mat 11:25  At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

Mat 11:26  Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Mat 11:27  All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Mat 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Mat 11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Mat 11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) The Psalmist recognizes that God’s Word is perfect just as God is Who spoke it through the Prophets, so that it could provide everything essential to the believer for every spiritual need.

2) The intimacy between God The Son and God The Father is presented here by Matthew and reveals to the believer the type of relationship God desires to have with each one who believes in Him through believing in Jesus Christ His Only Begotten Son!

3) The process of making the Word of God our own, can be understood in three steps:

  1. A) Analysis: Hear the Word and evaluate and discern your individual application of it to determine your personal course of action as a result of it.
  2. A) Assessment: Assess your determination of who you choose to believe; The “World, The Flesh Or The Devil” or God!
  3. A) Action: Take the proper action to give glory to God or to do things your own way.
