The Testimony Of Jesus Is The Spirit Of Prophecy
In our previous message “Developing A Gospel Tenacity” we learned of our command to be vocal and persistent about our evangelical outreach to the world, because it is God’s last provision and message to deliver salvation through His Only Son, Jesus Christ to a dying fallen world. In today’s message let us consider the marvelous grace that God has provided for His Church to present to the world known as “The Testimony Of Jesus Is The Spirit Of Prophecy”
Old Testament Scripture Reading Malachi 3:1 – 6 (KJV)
Mal 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
Mal 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:
Mal 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
Mal 3:4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
Mal 3:5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
New Testament Scripture Reading: Revelation 19:6 – 10 (KJV)
Rev 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Rev 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
Rev 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Transforming Power Statements / Special Scripture Notes:
1) From the fall of mankind in the Garden Of Eden there is one salient fact that needs to be understood about God; and that is The LORD our God does not change, and therefore, we are not consumed! (This applies to {the lost in time} and to the saved in time and throughout eternity!)
2) No one has ever been saved by Good Works; but only by God’s grace
3) All Scripture is about Jesus The Messiah, Who is God’s answer to all things bad.
