In our last lesson called “Insatiable Escalating Power To Live” we began to learn how new life in Christ Jesus delivers a deep desire to know more about God and the power of knowing the truth as we go about life with His grace and blessings, under the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Today let us consider just what our new life in Christ Jesus means as we think about “Identifying My Divine Assignment”

Old Testament Scripture Reading Proverbs 30:4 – 6 (KJV)

Pro 30:4  Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?

Pro 30:5  Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Pro 30:6  Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

New Testament Scripture Reading 1 Thessalonians 1:1 – 10 (MKJV)

1Th 1:2  We give thanks to God for you always, making mention of you in our prayers,

1Th 1:3  remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father,

1Th 1:4  knowing, beloved brothers, your election of God.

1Th 1:5  For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

1Th 1:6  And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, welcoming the Word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,

1Th 1:7  so that you were examples to all who believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

1Th 1:8  For from you the Word of the Lord sounded out, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to speak anything.

1Th 1:9  For they themselves witness what kind of entrance we had to you, even how you turned from idols to God in order to serve the living and true God,

1Th 1:10  and to wait for His Son from Heaven (whom He raised from the dead), Jesus, who delivered us from the wrath to come.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) God has separated each one of His children to achieve certain goals in this life, which He is directing through His Word, His Holy Spirit, and His Church; for the purpose of manifesting His love to all of the people and drawing the fallen back to His Own will for their lives.

2) Agur the son of Jakeh is our model in defining our own condition and quest for our divine purpose from God, which utilizes everything we learned from any human institutions but is redirected by our being born again through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which caused us to be born from above with a destiny to be determined by God The Father!

3) In the coming weeks let us pray for the wisdom that was imparted to the Saints at Thessalonica, who went out right away once they were taught the Gospel Of Jesus Christ and began sharing it realizing that God The Holy Spirit was operating on their behalf and that there is a special divine assignment for every member of the Body Of Christ!
