Can God still heal sickness and disease today as He did in times past? Is there still present in the Church such a thing as a “Gift of Healing”? Is there any other reason taught in the Bible for the miracles that were done in the days of the earthly ministries of Christ Jesus and His Apostles? Let us ask ourselves today: Is it simply the healing of our flesh that we should be seeking from God through Jesus, or is there something much greater that we should be concerned about? Also, what about all the claims of our times, of healing ministries, personal prosperity, and the possession earthly treasures? How should we perceive them? Well put on your spiritual thinking caps, open your bible, and grab a sip of ale and listen in as Pastor Landis continues in our study of the Gospel of Saint Mark which will challenge you to think biblically about the administration of Messiah Jesus and His ability to “Reverse the curse” by the word of His Power.

Mark 1:38 And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.
Transforming Power Statements:
#1) As Jesus began to call the twelve, He started His ministry as Mediator between God and man right away and was demonstrating as He went the very power of God to reverse the effects of the curse of sin in order to validate who He was, Namely the very Messiah, the Son of Almighty God.
#2) The disciples and even many of the people misunderstood the fullness of God’s purposes regarding the healing of the sick, the diseased, the possessed, and such like, so there were many who only wanted relief from their immediate infirmities, and failed to realize the more serious reason for God sending His Only Son into their midst.
#3) It is right to call on God for all our temporal needs, but never let us fail to see that we need to also call on Him even more for our eternal needs, and that it was for this cause that He provided Jesus for mankind that all might seek Him for the right reason: SALVATION!
