Risen and Mighty to Save

Happy Passover Sunday! Our teacher Pastor Landis Fisher has prepared a topical lesson in honor of Resurrection Sunday to teach about the power of God and His great love for all who have sinned against Him, to redeem them from the penalty of death, by faith alone in His Son JESUS, Who is the appointed one sent into the world at the exact proper moment in human history to flesh out His plan of salvation which had been concealed from before the foundation of the world. Listen in today, as our teacher explains the fact that Jesus is: “Risen and Mighty to Save”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Psalms 16:8 – 11  (KJV)

Psa 16:8  I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Psa 16:9  Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Psa 16:10  For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Psa 16:11  Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Acts 2:21 – 24  (KJV)

Act 2:21  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Act 2:22  Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
Act 2:23  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
Act 2:24  Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) The extent that God has gone through to let people know the depth of His love for them is extremely great beyond all comparison, and can be best understood by realizing that the offering of Jesus Christ on the cross is completely adequate to save everyone who trust in Him for the full payment of all their sins.

2) Jesus Christ risen from the dead is the central essential fact that distinguishes the truth from erroneous false forms of so called religions, which have no power to save nor deliver sinners from the evil power of sin, and resurrection preaching was at the center of the message of the Church, and is directly responsible for the deliverance from guilt and the fear of death.

3) If you have never understood and accepted the facts of the Gospel and you now understand that Jesus Christ, God’s Only-begotten, has defeated death and the grave for YOU, it is our prayer that you accept His as Savior right now, as you realize that He is RISEN and MIGHTY to SAVE!
