Repairing News

In last week’s message “Walking The Walk Of Faith” we began to discuss the healing relationship that God has made available through His risen Son Jesus Christ, which is being preached to the world by His Church. The Bible has been proven to be comprehensive and completely authoritative in all the promises it contains. Today’s message is to reaffirm this fact that the Word of God is still completely accurate and that it provides “Repairing News”!

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Isaiah 42:1 – 9 KJV

Isa 42:1  Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

Isa 42:4  He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

Isa 42:5  Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

Isa 42:6  I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

Isa 42:7  To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

Isa 42:8  I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Isa 42:9  Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Romans   11:25 – 36 KJV

Rom 11:25  For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Rom 11:26  And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Rom 11:27  For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Rom 11:28  As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes.

Rom 11:29  For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Rom 11:30  For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

Rom 11:31  Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

Rom 11:32  For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

Rom 11:33  O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Rom 11:34  For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

Rom 11:35  Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

Rom 11:36  For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

Main Points To Emphasize:

1) Jesus Christ, God The Son, was accurately prophesied and His first coming was executed in complete fulfillment of all the things that the prophets had spoken. (Luke 24:25 – 27 KJV)

2) History verifies the accuracy of the Bible, and therefore, we can also trust the Bible to accurately explain the world in which we live, both now and into eternity.

3) As the commentators of the world constantly are presenting ehat they call “Breaking News” The Bible is constantly presenting “Repairing News” to nourish the fallen human soul!
