Old Testament Scripture Reading: Isaiah 9:6 – 7 (KJV)

Isa 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isa 9:7  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) Jesus has been prophesied from Genesis to Malachi as being the supernatural life giving “seed”, Who was manifested through Abraham , Isaac and Jacob then passed down through the tribes of Israel by way of the Davidic line to become the King of KINGS; as it is also written here in Isaiah stating that a child would be born and a Son would be given, and the governments would be upon HIS shoulder as HE rules and reigns over all the nations, which is a summary of the Quest Of Jesus Seed Of Righteousness.

2) Isaiah teaches us that Jesus comes as a “child” Who is a “Son” to be given; which speaks of His death for the atonement of all who believe in HIM; and that this Son is God in the flesh, having attributes of God to be signs to the Jews, His chosen people; and that He was born to rule and make true “Peace”; as He also fulfills the promise of being the Son of David; indicating that JESUS CHRIST shall return at the proper time to provide salvation to everyone who (trusts) believes in HIM!!

3) Peter and the Apostles learned and taught that Jesus is the Messiah and that He had empowered them to preach and teach that the meaning of all the healings, such as the man at the Beautiful Gate, was a pertinent sign from God to the Jewish Leaders, in order to validate their ministries of the teaching of the Gospel, and healings that were done by Jesus to validate their ministry.
