Possession Over ProfessionSatan, the enemy of God and man, would like nothing less than to deceive as many as possible into having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof. Listen to this important message from our teacher, Pastor Landis Fisher, as he preaches an important message to encourage everyone to value: “Possession Over Profession”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Psalms 90::12-17  (KJV)

Psa 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Psa 90:13  Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

Psa 90:14  O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

Psa 90:15  Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

Psa 90:16  Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

Psa 90:17  And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

New Testament Scripture Reading: James 2:14-20  (KJV)
James 2:14  What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

James 2:15  If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

James 2:16  And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

James 2:17  Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

James 2:18  Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.

James 2:19  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

James 2:20  But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Transforming Power Statements:

1)      There are many statements thrown around in life which speak to the fact that the things that we say are not necessarily right, nor accurate, nor binding, nor even the least bit factual. For example: You are talking loud and saying nothing! Or Don’t write a check with your mouth that your body cannot cash!” or “You are just talking out of both sides of your mouth” or even “Child you have to take everything you hear from her with a grain of salt!” etc. But what about you? What about the “children of the Most High God? Should we be any different than those who do not lay a claim to “Knowing God? “ or being possessed by God’s Holy Spirit? (Psa 107:2 KJV)  Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

2)  Sincere prayer must be employed by those seeking an improved outcome of the quality of their personal relationship with God through His Son the LORD Jesus Christ, which includes an accurate, realistic evaluation of the truthful condition of our present stance in life as compared to the Holy Spirit led path internally implanted by God Himself to lead each believer up the path to Christ-likeness which is His goal for all.

 3) Let us learn to celebrate our personal “Possession” by the Holy Spirit of GOD!!!!! Over our mere “Profession” that we are the LORD’s; by living out in our lives the Love of God {Who is the God Who is LOVE} as we conduct every facet of life in everything we do! Whether we eat or drink or whatever we do; do it all to the glory of GOD!!!! (1 Cor 10:31  Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
