Peace From A Perfect UnionMarriage and family are the very cornerstone of human existence and therefore, are the most likely to be placed under attack by the enemies of God and man. The world under the guise of the devil and his hosts, is set against marriage and the family, this is why we see an escalation of damnable laws being passed in order to re-define what a family and a marriage are to accommodate the godless aspirations of fallen human flesh. Listen in today as our teacher, Pastor Landis Fisher speaks on this extremely vital topic to strengthen and encourage you and your marriage and family in a message he has called: “Peace From A Perfect Union”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Genesis 2:15 – 25  (KJV)
Gen 2:15  And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Gen 2:16  And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Gen 2:17  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Gen 2:18  And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Gen 2:19  And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

Gen 2:20  And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

Gen 2:21  And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

Gen 2:22  And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

Gen 2:23  And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Gen 2:24  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Gen 2:25  And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Ephesians 5:18 – 33  (KJV)
Eph 5:18  And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Eph 5:19  Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Eph 5:20  Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Eph 5:21  Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Eph 5:22  Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

Eph 5:23  For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Eph 5:24  Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Eph 5:25  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Eph 5:26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

Eph 5:27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Eph 5:28  So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Eph 5:29  For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

Eph 5:30  For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

Eph 5:31  For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

Eph 5:32  This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Eph 5:33  Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Transforming Power Statements

1)      Through out the course of time the desire of God has been extreme close intimacy with the pinnacle of His creation, man and the pinnacle of man, woman, but it has always been fallen man, and the devil who have worked together to hinder God’s ultimate will, which is to be the third strand binding marriages together.

(Eccl 4:12  And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken)

2)      The basic unit of human society is the family, therefore, the family is the main target in the bulls-eye of satan and fallen mankind, who work in concert to destroy families, especially marriages which are called by God the grace of life.

3)      The spiritual mystery of Christ as the “Bridegroom” and the Church as His “Bride” expresses the depth of the love of God toward sinners who repent and passionately embrace Jesus Christ as LORD, thus displaying the restoration and redemption that is in the blood which alone satisfies God for all who believe the truth.
