During this season each year, it is very special to examine the hope that God has provided for everyone as we come to learn that “My Destiny And The Cross Of Christ” begins and continues by Faith In JESUS CHRIST alone!
Old Testament Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 21:22 -23 (KJV)
Deu 21:22 And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:
Deu 21:23 His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
Galatians 3:10 – 14 (KJV)
Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Gal 3:12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Gal 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Transforming Power Statements:
1) The manner of the birth, life, purposes, and death of Messiah were veiled in many passages in the Old Testament such as Deuteronomy 21, Isaiah 53, Zechariah 13:6 & 7, Psalms 22:1, etc. just to name a few; however, the doctrine of the resurrection is the one that is the very soul of the Gospel and the main thing that provides hope against every negative thing we face in this life!
2) The perfection of God’s Holy Law was a standard that raised the bar so high that no one has ever been able to keep it entirely, therefore, it must be understood that salvation can only be by God’s grace as stated in Galatians, and required the death and resurrection of Jesus The Christ in order to satisfy God for each believer.
3 ) Our destiny is bound up in the hope of Jesus’ resurrection which God made available for all people, to be preached to every person on Earth, to allow them to receive the free gift of Salvation to the Glory of ALL MIGHTY GOD!
