Old Testament Scripture Reading: (Proverbs 3:9 – 13 KJV)

Pro 3:9  Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

Pro 3:10  So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

Pro 3:11  My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:

Pro 3:12  For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Pro 3:13  Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

New Testament Scripture Reading: ( Matthew 7:7 – 12 KJV)

Mat 7:7  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Mat 7:8  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Mat 7:9  Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Mat 7:10  Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

Mat 7:11  If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Mat 7:12  Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. (The Golden Rule)

Transforming Power Statements:

1) The “wisdom of Solomon” the most wise man except Jesus, teaches us to intentionally involve God, Who is the provider of all things possessed by everyone, by acknowledging Him with all that we obtain as well as with a portion of our increase so that He can show us even greater blessings as a result.

2) The development of a love-based dependent relationship with God, our Heavenly Father, is the basis upon which we are taught by Jesus to “Ask” knowing that God cares about everything we are dealing with, need, and are seeking to obtain in life, because He is the Creator of all things, Who loves us and has given us such privileges to be exercised by faith.

3) It should be understood that keeping the “Golden Rule” requires acting “outside the box” by setting forth maximal effort to not return evil for evil; but to extend the treatment that would desire from others to others, just as God has done, even down to sending His Only Begotten Son to be severely punished to show the limitless magnitude of His LOVE for you, and His power even over death and the grave, cancelling even fear!
