As we look forward to an approaching “Total Eclipse”, let us consider the fact that God has elevated Jesus Christ His Only Begotten Son, to eclipse the world with the Glory of God His Father! This same Jesus has been prophesied by all Old Testament Prophets, and has been made to be the Only Savior not only for Israel, but also, for all people who believe in Him! Let us take a glimpse at this phenomenon in a message called “Jesus Christ The Light Of The World”
Old Testament Scripture Reading: Isaiah 49:1 – 7 (KJV)
Isa 49:1 Listen to Me, O islands, And pay attention, you peoples from afar. The LORD called Me from the womb; From the body of My mother He named Me.
Isa 49:2 He has made My mouth like a sharp sword, In the shadow of His hand He has concealed Me; And He has also made Me a select arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver.
Isa 49:3 He said to Me, “You are My Servant, Israel, In Whom I will show My glory.”
Isa 49:4 But I said, “I have toiled in vain, I have spent My strength for nothing and vanity; Yet surely the justice due to Me is with the LORD, And My reward with My God.”
Isa 49:5 And now says the LORD, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, To bring Jacob back to Him, so that Israel might be gathered to Him (For I am honored in the sight of the LORD, And My God is My strength),
Isa 49:6 He says, “It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also make You a light of the nations So that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”
Isa 49:7 Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel and its Holy One, To the despised One, To the One abhorred by the nation, To the Servant of rulers, “Kings will see and arise, Princes will also bow down, Because of the LORD who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen You.”
New Testament Scripture Reading: Colossians 1:1 – 8 (KJV)
Col 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
Col 1:2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father.
Col 1:3 We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
Col 1:4 since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love which you have for all the saints;
Col 1:5 because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel
Col 1:6 which has come to you, just as in all the world also it is constantly bearing fruit and increasing, even as it has been doing in you also since the day you heard of it and understood the grace of God in truth;
Col 1:7 just as you learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow bond-servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf,
Col 1:8 and he also informed us of your love in the Spirit.
