Old Testament Scripture Reading: Micah 5:2 (KJV)

Mic 5:2  But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Hebrews 2:14 – 16 (KJV)

Heb 2:14  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Heb 2:16  For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) The flawless accuracy of the Old Testament prophecies should become your foundation for personal realization that God predicted with pinpoint flawlessness the blessing which He became in order to give Himself as a gift to impart boldness to each one who accepts His perfect gift (i.e. Jesus) as LORD of their life and as a perfect gift to give away to others, which is the purpose and commission of His Church.

2) One of the most powerful things we can (and should) understand about what God says Christmas is; is that what God the Son was doing when He came the first time was to not only satisfy God on behalf of everyone who believes; but also to destroy the works of the devil which is the power of death!

3) The writer to the Hebrews indicates that the fear of death is one of the strongest bondages that troubles people all their lives; but since Jesus has come we can now incorporate victory rather than fear because Jesus is risen so that we can walk in power and not in fear!
