Identification With The Word Standing In God’s Peace

As we study this new year through a series of messages with this theme: ” The Year Of Restoration From Genesis To Revelation” let us plan on letting God the Holy Spirit, have His way guiding us by His Word to learning to respond in Love to every situation, in the likeness of Jesus Christ! This week’s message will challenge us to discern God’s motivation toward all mankind by His actions of mercy, atonement, forgiveness, and protection from our spiritual enemies, who work against us and God’s grace. In today’s message we will discover that God is faithful to deliver all that He has promised in His Word through this message: “Identification With The Word Standing In God’s Peace”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: 2 Chronicles 7:11 – 15 (KJV)

(2Ch 7:11 KJV)  Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king’s house: and all that came into Solomon’s heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.

(2Ch 7:12 KJV)  And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.

(2Ch 7:13 KJV)  If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

(2Ch 7:14 KJV)  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

(2Ch 7:15 KJV)  Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

New Testament Scripture Reading:  2Peter 1:12 – 21(KJV)

2Pe 1:12  Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth which is present with you.

2Pe 1:13  I consider it right, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, to stir you up by way of reminder,

2Pe 1:14  knowing that the laying aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent, as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.

2Pe 1:15  And I will also be diligent that at any time after my departure you will be able to call these things to mind.

2Pe 1:16  For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.

2Pe 1:17  For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased”–

2Pe 1:18  and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.

2Pe 1:19  So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.

2Pe 1:20  But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation,

2Pe 1:21  for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
