October 30, 2011  A.D.

Hidden In The House Of GodPastor Landis Fisher was invited to be a guest speaker for the 51st Church Anniversary of the New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, where the Pastor Theodore Ward, presides as senior Pastor, in the City of East St. Louis, Illinois.

Pastor Fisher has prepared a special message that is thought provoking to encourage this Pastor and church to continue its great work in the great city of East St. Louis Illinois, which he has titled: “Hidden In The House of God”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Isaiah 64:1 – 9  (KJV)
Isa 64:1  Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence.

Isa 64:2  As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!

Isa 64:3  When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.

Isa 64:4  For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

Isa 64:5  Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.

Isa 64:6  But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Isa 64:7  And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.

Isa 64:8  But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Isa 64:9  Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.

New Testament Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 4:1 – 7  (KJV)
2 Cor 4:1  Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

2 Cor 4:2  But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

2 Cor 4:3  But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

2 Cor 4:4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

2 Cor 4:5  For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

2 Cor 4:6  For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

2 Cor 4:7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Transforming Power Statements:

1)      Since the being and essence of God is immeasurably most unsearchable by any human mind, or means apart from God’s intervention, there are also an immeasurable number of things in the creation as well as in the Word, of which we could never comprehend without divine revelation by God, therefore, many are the things that are hidden in the house of God.

2)      Everything from salvation to glorification are made available to all sinners who repent and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and has been accomplished and paid for in full through the predetermined counsel of the God-head by the shed blood of Jesus The Christ of God, Who alone is the propitiation for all sin to everyone who trust in Him alone.

3)      The world the flesh and the devil work against the believer to hinder progress, and  to cover and deny insight and applications of God’s revelations for the advancement of His Kingdom on Earth, thus amplifying the need for ministry to one another and through the oversight of pastors gifted to exhort and encourage believers as the journey continues into all the world.
