Today’s message, “Growing In The Faith” is an expose on the life of faith, which God determined to be the only way for anyone to ever be saved, and that only by His Only Begotten Son Jesus The Christ.

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Isaiah 26:1 – 9 (KJV)

Isa 26:1  In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.

Isa 26:2  Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.

Isa 26:3  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Isa 26:4  Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

Isa 26:5  For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

Isa 26:6  The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.

Isa 26:7  The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just.

Isa 26:8  Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.

Isa 26:9  With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Jude 1:1 – 3 (KJV)

Jud 1:1  Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

Jud 1:2  Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

Judgment on False Teachers

Jud 1:3  Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) Even the people whom God Himself chose for Himself had many issues and needed His forgiveness just as much as anyone else, although since they were the official keepers of God’s Holy Scriptures, the Children Of Israel also had many faults within their tribes, just as the other nations did, but they had the Temple / Tabernacle as a place of routine sacrifices in which atonement for their sins were regularly made throughout the year in accordance with the Word which God had provided.

2) Isaiah explains that by meditating on the greatness of God, our personal faith develops so that no matter what more powerful unbelievers are doing to afflict us, the faith to know that God is present and knows all things, will produce a state of mind that will by faith, be equipped to dwell in perfect peace.

3) The instruction from Jude is for the true believers to contend earnestly for the faith because without faith there is no way to please God Who has all things and has sacrificed His very Own Son to give the believer the impetus to continue “Growing In The Faith”
