|
Mic 5:1 Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.
Mic 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Mic 5:3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.
Mic 5:4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

New Testament Scripture Reading: 1Timothy 3:14 – 16 (KJV) |
|
1Ti 3:14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
1Ti 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Transforming Power Statements:
1) The First Advent of Jesus the Christ was well foretold in many of the OT Prophets in great and lucid detail; speaking of hundreds of facets of that most important event thus far in the history of the world beginning from Moses and continuing throughout the entire OT; and was manifested by the birth of God the Son into human flesh; fulfilling and marking the very most important event in the history of mankind, the first “Christmas”
2) Even down to the exact place of His birth as it is foretold by Micah, and how it related to the history of Israel and was flawlessly performed to the “T” even though the covenant people were in a state of socio-religious spiritual failure and out of sync with God, even rejecting Him even until this day as a nation, yet God did exactly what He promised and therefore, we can know with utter certainty that our future in Christ is just as bright as God’s Word says it will be!
3) Just as sure as Jesus came and was crucified and yet prevailed even over death and the grave, we can be sure that our futures, just as even our loved ones who also have trusted in Christ Jesus are secure even now; that we too can live in the present in the comfort of the knowledge of absolute victory in Christ Jesus and have certain trust in our futures as well; letting the Gospel of the Kingdom be our impetus for all implications of every promise of God!
