Old Testament Scripture Reading: Isaiah 5:13 & 11:9 – 10 (KJV)
Isa 5:13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
Isa 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
Isa 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
New Testament Scripture Reading: 2Peter 1:3 – 8 (KJV)
2Pe 1:3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
2Pe 1:4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2Pe 1:5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,
2Pe 1:6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,
2Pe 1:7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
2Pe 1:8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Transforming Power Statements:
1) Throughout redemptive history there has always been the reality that people who opt to walk “in what God has said” enjoy more of the actual feelings of “freedom” than any other group of people, who choose to disobey God which places upon them chains of bondage.
2) The contrast between God’s professing people who stumble around even using mere “human knowledge” rather than the “supernatural knowledge of God” is evident in the difference of the Isaiah 11:9-10 passage which is telling us the course that all things are heading for as we approach a state of “Global knowledge of God” when all the world shall come to know the knowledge of God as the waters cover the Sea!
3) The Apostle Peter via the Holy Spirit, has given us a succession of character traits, that come with the Salvation provided through our faith in Christ Jesus in which we are to walk and grow in as we enter into discipleship and continue through the balance of our time on Earth, which are also to be shared with others until the time of our departure.
