New Testament Scripture Reading: (Galatians 3:6 – 14 KJV)
Gal 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
Gal 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
Gal 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
Gal 3:9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Gal 3:12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Gal 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Transforming Power Statements:
1) One of the greatest revelations of the New Testament is the reality that in all of time since the fall of mankind, God has shown His love toward all people by making a way to be saved from His wrath available by GRACE which is a primary fruit of LOVE; which we have been considering throughout most of this year, for the purpose of learning how to do the same to others as well.
2) It is an obvious reality that the record shows that salvation has always been by GRACE ALONE, and NEVER by human works because human works ARE and have NEVER been flawless EXCEPT by God the SON, (i.e. JESUS CHRIST) WHO was the focal point of God’s promises, who alone provides righteous satisfaction to the FATHER!
3) The satisfaction REQUIRED by GOD the FATHER, for the salvation of ANY, has been provided ONLY by JESUS THE CHRIST (His SON) and is available to ALL WHO BELIEVE in HIM, and by FAITH in HIM ALONE, believers receive the HOLY SPIRIT, WHO enables believers to Emulate this same kind of LOVE toward not only others, but also toward themselves!
