Embracing Endless PotentialHappy New Year to every one on God’s Green Earth! Pastor Landis Fisher and his family and the official staff of Straight Gate Ministries extend to you a prayer that 2012 A.D. shall prove to be the BEST YEAR of your life thus far! Pastor Fisher has prepared this message to ring in the new year and to get you motivated for the inrush of God’s blessings, which he believes is attached to your attitude toward God, His Son Jesus Christ and the eternal Gospel of our salvation. Listen today as our teacher preaches a word from the LORD he has called: “Embracing Endless Potential”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Numbers 13:30 – 14:4  (KJV)
Num 13:30  And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Num 13:31  But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
Num 13:32  And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
Num 13:33  And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
Num 14:1  And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
Num 14:2  And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
Num 14:3  And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
Num 14:4  And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.
New Testament Scripture Reading: Philippians 1:1- 7  (KJV)
Phil 1:1  Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

Phil 1:2  Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Phil 1:3  I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

Phil 1:4  Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

Phil 1:5  For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

Phil 1:6  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Phil 1:7  Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) The potential of the saints is unlimited from God’s Perspective; nevertheless, from the vantage point of the believer possibility is often obscured for a variety of reasons and is a major point of attack from the forces of evil, who relentlessly militate against the work of God the Holy Spirit.

  2) The devil’s greatest weapon against the saints of God is discouragement, and many of the saints are innocuous of the power of discouragement, and therefore, they are either ineffective for God, their family, or the Church; or defeated and do not understand just why, as they wonder around  from place to place, and church to church, and never ever really become stable in the complete salvation provided by God at the expense of Christ Jesus His Only-begotten SON!

3) Let this year be the year that you maximize your potential and drink from the river of “Endless Potential” that is here for you right now by faith in Jesus Christ ALONE!!!
