Christmas the Human Side of Salvation

With the Christmas season upon us for 2014 A.D. our Pastor Teacher Landis Fisher has selected choice texts in the Scriptures to highlight the biblical glories of the first advent of our LORD Jesus the Christ, in honor of God our Father during this year’s Christmas season celebration. This week’s lesson presents an answer to an enigmatic question asked by Job during his satanically induced trials when Job cried out the question: “Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not One. (Job 14:4) Listen in as Pastor Fisher presents another Christmas message to deal with Job’s question in a lesson he has called: “Christmas The Human Side of Salvation”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Job 14:1 – 4  (KJV)

Job 14:1  Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
Job 14:2  He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
Job 14:3  And dost thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?
Job 14:4  Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Luke 2:1 – 12  (KJV)

Luk 2:1  And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.
Luk 2:2  (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
Luk 2:3  And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
Luk 2:4  And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
Luk 2:5  To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
Luk 2:6  And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
Luk 2:7  And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Luk 2:8  And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
Luk 2:9  And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
Luk 2:10  And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
Luk 2:11  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Luk 2:12  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) The salvation we enjoy who are saved, has two major dimentions: there is a Divine side and a human side just as there was in the creation of mankind.

2) Every since our father Adam fell into sin wilfully the stain of sin was was so completely embeded into the very fabric of humanity that Job asked the profound question: “Who can bring a clean thing out of and unclean?” and then answered: “Not one!” indicating that All people are born into sin and ALL have a need to be SAVED!

3) When God issued the very first commandment (Gen 2:17) to Adam, while he was alone in the garden of Eden, God said that it is not good that the man should be alone” (Gen 2:18) The true answer to this question: Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean?” is “Only God!”; because when God made Eve (the mother of all living {Gen 3:20}) as apathway through which His promise of Salvation could become manifested; and His Only-begotten Son Jesus, Who is CLEAN; could be brought forth out of the unclean human family via the woman!

4) Our LORD Jesus the Christ, is the fusion of God with man to flesh out every promise God made to redeem fallen mankind from the grip of the devil, sin, death and the grave and to restore man to a right standing with God once and for all for whosoever trusts in Christ Jesus and believes that God has raised Him from the dead!
