Christ In You In Twenty Twenty-Two Part Two

How shall we perceive what a “New Year” really should look like for God’s children? Let us consider this question as we continue into this year with an additional glimpse into our closing message from last year with more thoughts on centering our life focus on Jesus Christ, the Precious Lamb Of God!

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Exodus 12:1 – 7 (KJV)

Exo 12:1  And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,

Exo 12:2  This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

Exo 12:3  Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

Exo 12:4  And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

Exo 12:5  Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

Exo 12:6  And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

Exo 12:7  And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Colossians 1:25 – 29 (KJV)

Col 1:25  Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

Col 1:26  Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

Col 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Col 1:28  Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

Col 1:29  Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) Just as the children of Israel were called to change their focus to having God’s celebration of the sacrificial lamb to become the focal point of their time system, in order to learn to keep the lamb first and central to their lives, we too as His chosen people, must also center Jesus, The True Lamb of God, as First in our lives and all things!

2) The display of God’s mighty power to deliver His own, even from the most powerful governmental rulers lets us know that we too can accomplish great things without limit, even against evil godless decrees that are being promoted by the governments of this world; and that we can become as a light in the midst of their darkness so that others can also the glory of Jesus through our proclamation and practice in their site.

3) As Paul told the Colossians, it is Christ in you, the Hope of Glory; let us also understand this in a much more personal and profound way in this year, so that we can experience the power of God’s love and provision for not only us, but also for the people around us who have not come to know Jesus personally as their personal Savior and Lord.
