Happy Father’s Day! As we celebrate our fathers, let us be grateful for them and realize that because of them, we are here to be able to affect the world to the glory of the Almighty Father! Today’s message will assist us in this realization of the reality that our spiritual birth is of even greater importance than our physical birth if we live “Choosing The Grace Of Our Father”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Genesis 2:21 – 25 (KJV)

Gen 2:21  And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

Gen 2:22  And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

Gen 2:23  And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Gen 2:24  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Gen 2:25  And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Romans 5:17 – 21 (KJV)

Rom 5:17  For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Rom 5:18  Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Rom 5:19  For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Rom 5:20  Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

Rom 5:21  That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) As we celebrate our fathers let us realize that we are here because of them and regardless of what kind of relationship we may have had, their conception of us is a marvelous gift to be celebrated, because the gift of life makes it possible for us to become saved children of our matchless Father, God, Who is the Father of Jesus Christ, the ONLY SAVIOR of all who believe in HIM!

2)  The first actual mentioning of the word Father, is prophetic in the biological sense, and true for all people and includes as the narrative goes on to teach, the consequence of indwelling sin is passed on to everyone, and therefore, sin is tolerated by God, Who also provides the ordinances of sacrifice to project a future event that He would accomplish through His Own Son Jesus, to provide the only way of escape from judgment.

3) Just as the ministry of death came upon all who are born in the flesh from Adam until this very second, God has sent Jesus His Only Begotten Son to give life everlasting to everyone who repents and turns to Jesus for salvation, which causes a status of division of all of the human family into only one of the two groups; we are either in Adam or in Christ Jesus, as Paul states in Romans the fifth chapter.
