Centering Your Life on Jesus Christ

As we close out another year, Pastor Landis Fisher has prepared a special topical message just for the occasion to prepare us to move in to the new coming year with a right and productive attitude. Listen in as our teacher shares a message which he has titled: ” Centering Your Life on Jesus Christ”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Exodus 12:1 – 14  (KJV)

Exo 12:1  And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
Exo 12:2  This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
Exo 12:3  Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
Exo 12:4  And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
Exo 12:5  Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
Exo 12:6  And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
Exo 12:7  And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
Exo 12:8  And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
Exo 12:9  Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
Exo 12:10  And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
Exo 12:11  And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD’S passover.
Exo 12:12  For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.
Exo 12:13  And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
Exo 12:14  And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Romans 8:28 – 32  (KJV)

Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Rom 8:29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 8:30  Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Rom 8:31  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Rom 8:32  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Transforming Power Statements:

1) The experience of the “Passover” of the Jews was to become the focal point of all their doings in that God commanded that the time of this event be elevated to the central point in time in the lives of each and every Jew from the moment of it’s issuance; throughout the remainder of their lives as a memorial before God and even into all successive generations; and was fulfilled when Christ Jesus, His Only-begotten Son; (The Lamb of God) was crucified once and for all, on the cross of Calvary, to eternally memorialize the true essence of what actually produced real, and lasting satisfaction to the Father, for everyone embracing God’s offering of His Son; Who’s willing sacrificial offering of Himself rendered perfect completion of the void felt within the God-Head when the pure love of God toward Adam & Eve had been violated by sin in the Garden of Eden.

2) Since God’s original motivation was to set His love upon mankind by creating us in His own image and giving us dominion over His entire creation; proving His lavish provision for the object and pinnacle of His affection; and His love was spurned by our original parents under the guise of the devil, God had even before had a plan to offer up His own Son to redeem mankind and foil the works of the devil all in one event in time: The cross of Calvary; where Jesus would do all the required work that man had destroyed to secure eternal salvation for all who would believe in Christ Jesus!

3)  As we come to another year’s end, let us look back into that year past knowing by experience all that we have learned from each victory and each mistake; knowing that the victories have more greatly improved our present status and became more a part of our being than all the failures we produced from our mistakes and that through all these events, God was with us and used them all to bring us to the exact place we are now and to give us hope to continue on into another year, knowing that He is there already to strengthen our every decision toward becoming more like His Son, the object of His affection, Whom he has provided to cover us to His satisfaction!
