The Sovereignty of God is a term used to express the fact that The Almighty is above all things and does all things according to His Own will and for His Own purposes. Even though this is a subject that gets a lot of heat and disagreement among many theologians, ministers, so-called Church councils, and even many every day people, it is taught in the Holy Scriptures; so much so, that it must be embraced as being true. If we let the Bible speak to this issue, we can draw our own conclusions about the reality of this “seemingly controversial” topic.

(Eph 1:11 KJV)  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

(Heb 2:4 KJV)  God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

(Jas 1:18 KJV)  Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 32:15 – 20 (MKJV)

Deu 32:15  But Jeshurun grew fat and kicked. You grew fat, thick, and satisfied. Then he forsook God who made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

Deu 32:16  They provoked Him to jealousy with strange gods; with abominations they provoked Him to anger.

Deu 32:17  They sacrificed to devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new ones newly come up, whom your fathers did not fear.

Deu 32:18  You forgot the Rock who brought you forth, and ceased to care for God who formed you.

Deu 32:19  And Jehovah saw, and despised them because of the provoking of His sons and of His daughters.

Deu 32:20  And He said, I will hide My face from them; I will see what their end shall be. For they are a very perverse generation, sons in whom is no faithfulness.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Acts 17:22 – 31 (KJV)

Act 17:22  Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

Act 17:23  For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

Act 17:24  God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

Act 17:25  Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

Act 17:26  And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

Act 17:27  That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

Act 17:28  For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Act 17:29  Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.

Act 17:30  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Act 17:31  Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) The Apostle Paul , who himself was originally against Jesus Christ, until his conversion on the road to Damascus wrote many things to the Gentiles to whom he was sent to warn them of the seriousness and privilege it was to have a close intimacy with God, and to later on to begin to feel “entitled” to such a blessing and to disregard God’s tremendous grace toward them as a nation whom God had blessed.  (Romans 15:4 and 1 Corinthians 10:11)

2) The letters to the seven Churched in Revelation 2nd & 3rd chapters teaches us the details of the apostasy of the modern Church which can easily be seen today as we watch the decline of the modern Church all the way down till the false Church merges into the ungodly global system referred to as “Mystery Babylon the mother of harlots in Revelation 17 – 18, which is what we can now clearly see happening right before our eyes!

3) When the greatest nation in the history of time begins to unravel and the signs of the decline of Israel are also seen within it, it is time for the true believers in God through faith in Jesus Christ His Son to continue Being Mindful Of The Season so as not to be deceived since all these things have been written for our instruction.
