Anchor For the SoulIn the most strange time during the Church Age, what is needed to secure the believer in their faith? Listen to this message from Pastor Landis Fisher and learn just what you need as an: “Anchor For the Soul”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Malachi 3:6 & 7  (KJV)
Mal 3:6  For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Mal 3:7  Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

New Testament Scripture Reading: John 17:1 – 9  (KJV)

John 17:1  These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

John 17:2  As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

John 17:3  And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

John 17:4  I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

John 17:5  And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

John 17:6  I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

John 17:7  Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

John 17:8  For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

John 17:9  I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

Transforming Power Statements:

1)     We are living in difficult times here in the latter part of this period of grace known as the Church Age, therefore, this is a time when the “True Church” (The Bride of Christ) must study to be clear on exactly what God has said and exactly what he means in His Holy Word, the Bible.

2)     During these confusing times, the believer needs to have a certainty about the revealed “Properties of God” {theologians call these: ‘Communicable Attributes’} referred to by Paul as “Mysteries of God” to provide spiritual stability which shall serve as an Anchor for the soul through the storms of life.

3)     Now that we have a fresh  understanding that God has never changed, nor will He ever change, let us place the changes His Spirit reveals that we each need in our lives on the top of our prayer list, as we enjoy and celebrate the unspeakable gift which God has poured out richly on us in Christ Jesus!!
