The Crucified King

Today’s message highlights the season we celebrate known as “Palm Sunday” which is a celebration of the coming of Messiah as KING and SAVIOR of Israel. Zechariah the Prophet spoke of this event as well as many of the Psalms known as “The Hillel”  which were annual songs of praise sang in anticipation  of the coming of Messiah The Prince and the restoration of the glory of Israel! However, God Himself, had a few surprises as it seemed about just how Holy Scripture was to be interpreted and understood that the people, the rulers, the “Religious” nor many others did not really see at the time of Jesus First coming, even though it was right on God’s time table! This message is about the solution to this intriguing situation and helps us to understand the reality and benefits of Jesus Christ, The Messiah and “The Crucified King”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Zechariah 9:9 – 10 (KJV)

Zec 9:9  Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

Zec 9:10  And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.

New Testament Scripture Reading:  Acts 10:34 – 43 (KJV)

Act 10:34  Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

Act 10:35  But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Act 10:36  The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

Act 10:37  That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;

Act 10:38  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Act 10:39  And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

Act 10:40  Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

Act 10:41  Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

Act 10:42  And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

Act 10:43  To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Spiritual Goal For This Message:

Learning to realize that Jesus Christ The King Of Israel, has always planned to be Savior of the whole world of everyone who believes in Him by faith, Who is The King Who came to be crucified for them and to defeat the penalty of death which is the wages for sin.
