The last week’s message gave us a “broad brush” view of the outcome of the Old Testament, while also revealing the call of the New Testament to begin to live up to walking in this life in the power of the Holy Spirit as those who are risen from the deadness of the original lives we once knew, when we were still dead in our trespasses and sins, until the love of God was revealed to each of us who believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ! All these facts make obvious another reality that has come to be understood through revelation from the Holy Spirit, through the Church, that there is a reality that has been known as “The Manifestation Of The Ubiquity Of The Love Of God” which is the topic of our message today!
Old Testament Scripture Reading: Isaiah 45:1 – 7 (KJV)
Isa 45:1 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
Isa 45:2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
Isa 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
Isa 45:4 For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
Isa 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
Isa 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.
Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
New Testament Scripture Romans 5:1 – 11 (KJV)
Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Rom 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
Rom 5:4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Rom 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Rom 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Rom 5:7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Rom 5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Transforming Power Facts:
1) The love of God is an immutable attribute of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Who from everlasting to everlasting have been existing with love for humanity, that has been disbursed in writing through the Law and the Prophets, Psalms and Holy writings (OT Scriptures & New Testament) and was made flesh at the conception of Jesus Christ in the womb of the virgin Mary, to be proclaimed for the salvation of everyone who believes in Jesus Christ!
2) Religion, however, has always been the vehicle against the free gift of God, which attempts to steal the glory of God’s free gift; just as the devil through the devices of philosophy, deceit, and overt lying tempted Eve to create false religion which successfully produced an attractive motivation for Adam to defect from God’s trust and therefore, plunge all mankind into the spiraling pit of sin and destruction against the love of the triune God.
3) Paul’s letter to the Romans reveals the fact that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us to make a complete atonement for the sins of everyone who trust in Jesus Christ, Who is the Only-Begotten Son of God Almighty, Who is the “sole-provider” of acceptable atonement / propitiation provided from eternity through the shedding of the Blood of Jesus, which shall be applied to all who believe in Him!
