Old Testament Scripture Reading: Daniel 9:20 – 27  (NASB)
Dan 9:20  Now while I was speaking and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God in behalf of the holy mountain of my God,
Dan 9:21  while I was still speaking in prayer, then the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision previously, came to me in my extreme weariness about the time of the evening offering.
Dan 9:22  And he gave me instruction and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you insight with understanding.
Dan 9:23  “At the beginning of your supplications the command was issued, and I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed; so give heed to the message and gain understanding of the vision.
Dan 9:24  “Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place.
Dan 9:25  “So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress.
Dan 9:26  “Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.
Dan 9:27  “And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”
New Testament Scripture Reading: Revelation 12:1 – 13  (NASB)
Rev 12:1  And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;
Rev 12:2  and she was with child; and she cried^ out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.
Rev 12:3  And another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems.
Rev 12:4  And his tail swept^ away a third of the stars of heaven, and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child.
Rev 12:5  And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne.
Rev 12:6  And the woman fled into the wilderness where she had^ a place prepared by God, so that there she might be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
Rev 12:7  And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. And the dragon and his angels waged war,
Rev 12:8  and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven.
Rev 12:9  And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
Rev 12:10  And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.
Rev 12:11  “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death.
Rev 12:12  “For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.”Rev 12:13  And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child
Transforming Power Statements:

#1) The spirit of Christmas is a spirit of mercy from God toward evil condemned sinners who without His intervention are hopelessly lost and have no possible way to escape His judgment, which is for all un-believers in His Christ eternal hell.

#2) The first advent of Jesus The Christ has completely provided the greatest news that the world has ever received which is known as the gospel of their salvation by God’s grace through faith in His Only-begotten Son Jesus. * {which was manifested in the flesh, began at the conception / incarnation prior to the first Christmas; and was completed at the borrowed tomb of Joseph of  Arimathaea, as Jesus rose from the dead}

#3) The true spirit therefore should be about sharing the best news in the world to those who are perishing; and being grateful to the Holy God who has provided to us complete victory by His most excellent Son Jesus Our LORD.
