Old Testament Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 17:5 – 10 (KJV)
IJer 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
Jer 17:6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
Jer 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
Jer 17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Jer 17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
New Testament Scripture Reading: Jude 1:17 – 25 (KJV)
Jud 1:17 But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Jud 1:18 that they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.”
Jud 1:19 These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit.
Jud 1:20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
Jud 1:21 keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
Jud 1:22 And have mercy on some, who are doubting;
Jud 1:23 save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.
Jud 1:24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy,
Jud 1:25 to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
Transforming Power Statements:
1) As stated by God through Jeremiah the prophet, the natural sin of all human beings is an internal reality of the tendency to do the wrong thing because of the deceitfulness of the heart, which tends to be selfish in its choices and prone to violate the simple commands of God, which He has given to illuminate the impact of the fallen nature to reveal to everyone their need for a Savior; Whom He has provided through His Only-Begotten Son Jesus The Christ!
2) As we have come many centuries from the initiation of the “True Church” (that one called by the risen Christ and sent to “all the world”) with the simple message of repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ the risen Son of God, Who rose from the dead and ascended to the Right Hand Of God, to make intercession for all who believe in Him; we all need to return to the simplicity of God’s message and keep His Word and Gospel as the priority of our purpose making His message clear to all people.
3) The conclusion of all the drama of the failings of every human government shall give way to every prophecy stated by God in His eternal Word, The Bible, and will culminate in the coronation of The wedding of Jesus The Christ and His Bride (the Church) who shall consist of the believers in His Word, The Practical Simplicity Of The Bible Which Is The Word Of God!
