The Owners Manual As it is with many things, when we have tried all else in final desparation, we turn to reading the owner’s manual! In this lesson, Pastor Landis helps us to see why we can truly benefit by starting and staying in God’s Word which is to all of mankind “The Owner’s Manual”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Psalms 19:1 – 14  (NASB)
Psa 19:1  (For the choir director. A Psalm of David.) The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
Psa 19:2  Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge.
Psa 19:3  There is no speech, nor are there words; Their voice is not heard.
Psa 19:4  Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun,
Psa 19:5  Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
Psa 19:6  Its rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
Psa 19:7  The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Psa 19:8  The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Psa 19:9  The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true; they are righteous altogether.
Psa 19:10  They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.
Psa 19:11  Moreover, by them Thy servant is warned; In keeping them there is great reward.
Psa 19:12  Who can discern his errors? Acquit me of hidden faults.
Psa 19:13  Also keep back Thy servant from presumptuous sins; Let them not rule over me; Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be acquitted of great transgression.
Psa 19:14  Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Thy sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.
New Testament Scripture Reading: 2 Timothy 3:12 – 4:4  (NASB)
2 Tim 3:12  And indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
2 Tim 3:13  But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
2 Tim 3:14  You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them;
2 Tim 3:15  and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2 Tim 3:16  All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
2 Tim 3:17  that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
2 Tim 4:1  I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:
2 Tim 4:2  preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.
2 Tim 4:3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires;
2 Tim 4:4  and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to myths.
#1) Scripture is specific and complete information from God for all matters of life.

#2) The lost in the world hate the truth and feast on lies and deceit.

#3) Jesus the Christ is truth incarnate and His Spirit alone can reveal the depths of God’s specific revelation.
